@WiiSageمنذ 3 سنوات I also notice that certain sound effects that was in the original WIIu version were removed altogether when playing the demo, this game was my favorite id="hidden3" class="buttons"> WiiU game so i immediately notice something was off with the sound, thought it was just the demo version so i watched some gameplay of the same cutscene and the same sound was removed, notice it in a few cutscenes as well , like when you are fighting the boss at the end of Chapter 1 when its attacking the falling pieces of platforms you are on it makes a crashing noise when the dragon destroys it but in the remaster the sound its removed so the platforms gets destroyed but no sound behind it so it comes off weird and im sure its not just Ch 1 alone got sounds removed which is sad cause the sound design is one of the many things i loved about this game ....وسعت 2

I never played the Wii U version and never even heard of it when I had id="hidden4" class="buttons"> one (I got a Wii U right at the end of its life). So tbh I can't really compare them. Rn I am having fun with it, even if the dual screen thing is kinda annoying, and frame rate is. alright for me. Still could use a lot of work though. @PkGamمنذ 3 سنوات The outcome of the remaster did turn out to be an oddity. Like, while the Wii U version outputted in 720p natively, but scaled to 1080p, there is something id="hidden5" class="buttons"> very odd about the Switch not handling 1080p well considering it has stronger hardware. Heck, the Wii U even had the second screen for it to render to. Mind you that screen was 480p, but still. Also note that the Wii U had to output to two screens: One wirelessly, one not. This one just did picture in picture, which the Wii U version also could do in handheld-only mode.
So something tells me that the game itself was designed to specifically run on so-and-so things with the Wii U hardware, but not others and had trouble being ported. Similar to, say. a SNES game being ported to a later console with emulation, but said emulation isn't perfect and it causes various abnormalities that are inauthentic to the original. ....وسعت 2

I would much id="hidden12" class="buttons"> rather have a steam or PS4 code. Steam made the most sense because chances are people have a computer to play it on and they don't have to pay for every steam code.
And PC or PS4 are unarguably the definitive way to play these games. They have higher framerates, higher resolution and the game plays just as good. ....وسعت 33

@BL4CKWAT3Rمنذ 4 سنوات This review is absolutely misleading. The game runs smoother EXCEPT for that ONE intro segment WHICH isn’t even gameplay. They said so on digital foundry that the intro was an outlier to the rest of the game. Also the “screens” that clutter up the game screen can be hidden with a simple button.
I do however agree with how they should have given backers of the Switch and PS4 version digital keys for their respected platforms. But that’s not what this video title is about.
Bottom line this version is factually BETTER than the WiiU version in terms of overall performance and resolution. Get over yourself. ....وسعت 77

@ActionJaxonHمنذ 4 سنوات I call bull. Aside from 5-10 seconds in an opening cutscene the game runs practically identical to Wii U but at 1080p, and, the handheld version runs at id="hidden15" class="buttons"> the same resolution but at a better framerate.
Furthermore, the game offers the same console version PLUS a handheld version, AND, still has touch support (not that anyone uses it in any version- analog stick all the way). Switch is the version to own. And I not only beat the game on Wii U, I just, 45 min ago, beat the game on Switch. ....وسعت 14

Solid 60fps, smooth as hell and playing it in 4K with a GTX 1070.
The forms with the R stick are very precise and also the screen that "emulates" the second screen is very good implemented.
This game is so underrated and I am happy I can play it now as it deserves.

But the weirdly high hopes for Platinum one-uping Nintendo and the Steam Keys seem like an odd train of thought. The latter of which, makes sense, but from what I've heard, it is way more cost-effective to acquire Steam Keys, rather than Codes for Console games. It sucks, but I'm fine with it as a Backer of the Project.
I understand Backing anything is a gamble, but at least with Platinum this was already done and it seemed like they just needed some money to land on if things went South. This isn't another Mighty No. 9. ....وسعت 45

But the ps4 and PC versions are way better, as you said in your video the framerates and resolution are far superior. Also regarding the second screen thing. Are you really gonna sit there and try to tell me that looking down away from the TV is better than just shifting your eyes a bit to see something? Also you can easily disable and enable the second screen with the press of a button. And if that wasnt enough the second screen is hardly necessary, the only thing I used it for was changing difficulty for when I had a tough time. As you said they didnt even charge the full 60, I think for what the price is the remaster is great at least on ps4 and steam. And if I'm honest I dont think the switch version is that bad at all. They didnt "drop the ball." Also the argument about giving players steam keys as compensation, I agree that was shitty and they should have given the respective versions keys instead of just the steam ones. But it's a non argument. It has nothing to do with the remaster itself and only serves to make the viewer feel a negative way towards platinum before you get to talking about the actual game. @explodedglue5509منذ 4 سنوات Platinum games managed to get this game working and they did it well in my opinion also the "it used the Wii U gamepad alot" bit is kind of bs id="hidden30" class="buttons"> because you only needed the gamepad for puzzles Requiring 2 screens but if you remove those 2 screens puzzles like the number code in blossom city the game can be played with 1 screen so the way platinum games did it was actually good unless you NEVER owned a controller that wasnt the Wii U gamepad and if you didnt well good for you and if you did own a controller that wasnt a wii U gamepad I can totally believe it was more comfortable than the wii u gamepad it sounds like you feel uncomfortable with the changes and if you do feel uncomfortable bout the changes PLAY THE ORIGINAL and dont post a video saying that wii u version is better than the switch version without any real facts I guess but it does sound like venting more than anything and i play with my switch on handheld mode and its GREAT so uh. idk what is YOUR issue ....وسعت

Yes, they could patch it with the future added content, but I doubt they will add/change enough to justify the subtitle of remaster
This feels like Bloodstained for the Switch all over again. It's been almost a year and that game is STILL barely playable on that system. It's a watered down experience compared to other syatems and now it'll be the same all over again when my physical Wonderful 101 copy comes (eventually)
Platinum dropped the ball hard. I'm glad all physical backers got a steam key to play it on PC that loads light years faster than the original, but now I don't know if I'll even play the physical Switch copy I ordered. That's more because the id="hidden39" class="buttons"> Switch has a poor CPU processor which is what is causing the slowdowns for this game (and even then most people seem to focus on Digital Foudry's claim, but folks have already pointed out that while the framerate is lower, it's still much more steadier. Just compare the Vorkken battles between consoles; the Switch runs it steadier while the Wii U version drops down to 5 frames). But on PS4 and PC, it remains the better choice overall. Performance and load time is an immense improvement and the game's combat is still the high point. This video is just malarkey clickbait. ....وسعت 2

I enjoyed most of their games, except Nier Automata.
But, all Platinum games are virtually the same, just with different coat of paint (W101 is just Bayonetta that looks like Viewtiful Joe, with a gimmicky way to change weapons), except AstralChain.
Still hoping that Bayonetta 3 won't be just a modified Bayonetta 1 & 2. ....وسعت 2
