I just hope they don't give you the runaround when it's time to get your residency. Don't be surprised if they do, though. Hang in there until you get your residency. You are too good for Portugal. They don't appreciate educated black people like yourself. If you notice, you don't see black people in high positions there, and black folks have been in Portugal longer than in the US. I don't know if things have changed, but when I lived there, there were no black newscasters. I never even saw any black policemen. I hope things have changed since I lived there. Living there made me appreciate the US so much more. ... 11
Towards electricity bills you can make a yearly contract with EDP wich is called Conta Certa and provides you with a fixed amount to pay monthly.
At the end of the year you can chance it up or down following your electricity needs. ... 3
