Go ahead and paint/distress and wax - it will be out of this world!!! Consider in inside fabric liner and a piece of awesome stitching on the top...Viola----a beauty to behold!!!! As for the box with warped lid steam really work well but I found the best way was putting in sauna and then take out and then place weights ( also put a piece of straight board ...plywood so warped board could conform to straight piece on top then put weights. Hopefully this will work. I have been successful sometimes and sometimes not think it depends on what kind of wood the pieces are made of. ...

@cherylthompson41323 years agoI've been watching for your video. So good to see Your video. We were stationed in Germany in the 1970s.and got kitchen shraunk (sp?) On trash night. The woman in the stairs window was not happy Americans were taking it. We still have it. It has glass pull out compartments that were used for sugar, flour, etc. So fun. ...

If you remember, I purchased the Dolly Fowler sampler from you and I finally decided on my fabric for it so will start stitching soon. Always love seeing your wips and trash finds! @claraarellano59313 years agoSylvia, I have indeed missed you! I was so happy to see your beautiful WIPs. I’ve not started the sampler Cozyegg did for our guild but I did love seeing yours. I plan to do the large one but where there is freestyle type stitching section, I will refer to the one you are stitching and do cross stitches instead. I don’t mind some specialty stitches but I’m not good at stem stitch and embroidery. I’m excited that you bought a home back here in Texas. Oh and thank you so much for not saying ugly/negative things about who is in office here in this country. God is in control of who He has put there and so be it. We just need to pray for all people who have authority over us as the Bible states. Stitch happy and see you next time. ...
