I reality they are just taking away something that was free and now charging passengers for it unless of course you upgradt to the plus or premier packages. Princess and the other cruise lines are now starting to nickel-and-dime the passengers id="hidden3" class="buttons"> in order to keep the base cost down. (In food stores, the same phenomenon is called "shrinkflation".) It's more than just an irritant. Princess would do better if they would just bake the new charges into the base price. Most passengers would see the new prices go up $100 or so, wince, and then shrug. For the large majority of regular cruisers, seeing a $2100 cruise go up to $2200 would probably not be a deal breaker. But getting nickel-and-dimed is a memory like having a small stone in your shoe that you couldn't get out. ....وسعت 183

"Ocean NOW" is id="hidden7" class="buttons"> the ordering of items on your phone while on board, and having them delivered to your location. This is the free service we are losing with this new version of Plus. Princess has always been my favorite line, and I am and Elite Captans Circle member, but we are now looking into Virgin and Celebrity because of this deceitful move by Princess. All of those things that were free now have an associated fee - unless you pay at least $60/day, per person for the id="hidden8" class="buttons"> Plus package. The Medallion was originally described as technology that would provide a better cruise experience for the same money you were currently paying. And now they charge you $10 just to obtain it in advance. I was perfectly fine with a keycard. Keycards work just fine on other ships and in hotels, and they give them to you for free. Those obscene desserts haven't been out for a full year, and they've already been downsized. On my last Princess cruise, I arrived at the theater 30 minutes early for the evening show to find groups of seats reserved for Princess Premier guests. Loyalty doesn't matter. They'll reward anybody who paid for the upgrade even if it's their first cruise. ....وسعت 60

We have 2 princess cruises id="hidden11" class="buttons"> booked in 2023- 14 days on majestic and 15 nights on Enchanted each with the “old” plus package. At that time, The casual dining was included. If we upgrade to the plus package , we get 2 casual dinings . The 2 casual dinings are whether you book a 7 day or 14 day. This was confirmed by princess. Sounds like a giant rip off. Next 3 cruises booked on Holland and Celebrity, including a 28 day cruise. Shame on Princess! I don't drink id="hidden13" class="buttons"> and hubby only does 3-4 beers a day. We never get the bev package on Carnival so their packages are a waste. The extra costs are not worth it. Cruise prices have increased a lot so these new charges should not be happening. How about a package for non drinkers? All the little extra charges for this and that used to be free. Was hooked on my first Princess cruise last year and another one this year. Have two more schedule for the next year…. As an Elite passenger, I used to have express check-in access when id="hidden21" class="buttons"> boarding. Typically, it would take me less than 10 minutes from the time I entered the terminal until the time I stepped foot on the ship. Now I have to wait in a long line just like this was my first cruise. We book standard since we don't id="hidden24" class="buttons"> drink alcohol, no specialty coffee, no coke. Pepsi drinker. It just wouldn't pay for us. Now we have to pay $14.99 for pizza. We worked hard to get to,our desired status and since then, they have taken id="hidden27" class="buttons"> away several of the benefits! Now, these other changes, to things that used to be “free” are only free to those with a plus or premier package. And we both love Alfredo’s but not willing to pay $14.99 pp for it!

Now id="hidden28" class="buttons"> it's $17.95 per person if you want to use Ocean Now. That was a service that used to be included in the cruise fare!!! Of course, you can have the fee waived if you buy one of the packages. My patience is running thin with Princness Cruises. I'm close to elite status on another line. I booked standard, so in order to have access to things that were originally id="hidden38" class="buttons"> free they now say no we want more money. This is not changing or skipping a port for my safety, this is shady business. I don't have the option of cancelling and losing the money already paid. All eateries were included, and id="hidden48" class="buttons"> there was a chocolate on the pillow at night. I loved these small touches. Now you can pay extra to have your cabin ready early. When most pay for this service, only a few that paid, actually have their cabin ready early, it's a money making gimmick. Bar tenders expect you to not notice that the tip is added on, and drinkers automatically add even more to the tip. Everywhere you go on the ship, there are little coffee shops, candy shops, etc., that charge extra. Cruising is no longer the great experience it used to be. Our next id="hidden49" class="buttons"> cruise is NCL because we’ve noticed a serious drop in the quality of Carnivals product. Is it now worth 15 dollars a person (especially when you id="hidden52" class="buttons"> go every day)i dont think so. Now i just wont go there. Im booked on the Sapphire a 15 day Hawaii in October. A expensive balcony cabin. One thing that pisses me off is nickle and diming. Just raise the damn fare and have things included. I booked many months before this new fare and now im not getting what i signed up for. Room service and Alfredos pizza. I'm elite on Princess and being elite it really doesnt matter anymore. At least when you have high elite status with the airlines its actually worth something.
HAL already ticked me off with their add ons (im 4 star ). What im going to do is just not cruise on Princess (or Hal). They see themselves as a premium line. Premium lines dont do add ons then try and deflect and say you get it for free if you get a package that really adds up for 4 people. I usually do 4 cruises a year. What l will do is instead of 4 a year on princess ill just go on 1 on a much better line. If enough people (especially elite people) just stop going and tell the cruise line this is why your not cruising with them anymore maybe they will pull back from these nonsense add on fees. Honestly ive started to hate cruising. Ive been on about 80. I hate nonsense add ons and i hate big ships. ....وسعت 3

@teresah5318قبل 9 أشهر This is part of the cruise line recovery plan. The first time we got the Plus package it was $40 and very simple to understand. Wi-Fi, gratuities and drinks. id="hidden53" class="buttons"> Then about 2 years later they upped the price to $50 a day. Now its $60 a day with all these supposed benefits. We most likely will not get the desserts&the fitness classes. As far as the drink package, I consume a lot of specialty coffee and other nonalcoholic beverages along with a few alcoholic beverages in a day. I am not surprised at all with them wanting to charge for Alfredo's / Gigi's because we loved it too. Honestly, if we go more than 2 times on an itinerary, we get good OBC to cover it and the other specialty restaurants on the ship. I thought that there were a few other dining options included in the packages that were once chargeable but with the packages no longer. We all should be used to getting to have to pay higher prices because it's that way everywhere now. Grocery store, restaurants, gas stations, etc. Life is now costing more than it was pre pandemic. I love having the majority of the things covered. That’s why I liked Carnival, most things were included and we bought soft drink package. What else are they doing to raise prices that we would have to find the hard way? This shows clients they cant be trusted to present honest costs/services; that they use marketing hype to cover cost increases. Ill go on another line that is more upfront. @Parallax982قبل 9 أشهر Recently sailed Princess, before these changes, and suffice to say I was not impressed and won’t be sailing Princess again. The bed was REALLY uncomfortable and they couldn’t fix it. Apparently they only have memory foam toppers. I hate memory foam. It sleeps warm and prevents me from sleeping deeply.
Beyond that, the ship (the Sapphire) was overcrowded and most of the entertainment lame.
What’s really appalling here in the “bait and switch”, as these changes are applying retroactively to those who have already booked and paid their non-refundable deposits. The way this is being implemented is truly boneheaded and, speaking as an attorney, I can say with authority that they are setting themselves up for a class action suit. But like you I ordered room service on id="hidden59" class="buttons"> my last cruise. It was a life saver as I caught the respiratory virus and did not want to go out of my room. Now that is a paid service, along with being able to have delivery service on the pool deck. Also now has to be paid for. What?????? ....وسعت 1

@sues7227قبل 9 أشهر We just booked our first post Covid cruise. I am Australian, Platinum and it's within Australia. We took off the packages when we booked. You need id="hidden60" class="buttons"> to drink a lot for the A$1000 each and Platinum gets half price Internet and I can use my phone on land anyway. Travel agent said people don't realise they can remove the automatically added extras. ....وسعت 3

Two fitness classes and two casual dining are all you get id="hidden61" class="buttons"> regardless of cruise length. So, a quick overnight cruise, two each. 110 day around the world? Still 2 each.
