Before building my K'nex skates, I wanted to know if they had any chance of working so I decided to prove to myself that K'nex axels would not break under my weight. In this video, I present two proofs for this claim, one by contradiction and one directly.

Notes on the physics:
I think my assumptions are not unreasonable but I didn't do any research into structural integrity or how far you can idealize wheel-axels systems without getting into trouble. I originally did idealize it even further, considering the wheel to have zero thickness (I think this would also be fine).
I omitted it from the video because it seems tedious but I believe it is not too difficult to show that the torque I consider on the axel is the maximum torque exerted on any one wheel so the result holds regardless of the choice of pivot point.
