Trigun Stampede AMV - Blending in between the lines [Desucon 2023]

Ironically one that is actually a really old series in a way and even more ironically a series I back then avoided because of reasons. I always thought Trigun was this humor series and those really aren't my cup of tea. Well it turns out I've been lied to and only the old anime is to the humorous side because it needed to add filler content and that humor content was some of that. I've now watched this new anime and read the manga and I absolutely love those. Still honestly debating whether or not I'll give the original 1998 anime a chance. A highly personal video. I know some people think AMVs shouldn't be reflect their editor and just be a form of entertainment. I disagree. AMVs have always been a way to handle my emotions and this one is no different. It's the same as painting or writing is for someone else. I can relate to Vash - our protagonist - on so many levels. He does not falter on his pacifist ideals and there are people around him that consider him a friend and not a humanoid typhoon that wreaks havoc. The whole story line and relationship with his brother was of such manipulation and gaslighting it gave me the chills. Trigun is overall very well written story and there's no doubting manga is the best version of it all and the characters in it turn out to be very multi dimensional. Go watch/read it now is all I can recommend here. Join my fandom bubble, please. And while we're here I hope you liked the video too, the story should speak be pretty clear I think. Comments and discussion always more than appreciated. ♥ - - - In Finnish / suomeksi: ★ Desucon 2023 AMV-kilpailun finalisti Löysin itselleni uuden fandom ja ilmeisesti hyppäsin kuoppaan pää edellä. Ironisesti alkuperäinen sarja on oikeasti vanha kuin taivas ja vielä ironisemmin olen vältellyt sitä muutamien seikkojen takia. Ajattelin aina, että Trigun on huumorisarja ja ne eivät vain ole minua varten. No... kävikin ilmi että olen ollut ihan väärän tiedon varassa ja ainoastaan alkuperäinen anime on humoristisempi koska piti lisätä filleriä ja huumori oli osa sitä. Olen nyt katsonut tämän uuden animen ja lukenut mangan, ja rakastan niitä. Olen edelleen vähän kahden vaiheille annanko alkuperäiselle 1998 animelle mahdollisuuden. Todella henkilökohtainen video. Tiedän, että osan mielestä AMV:den ei pitäisi refelektoida tekijäänsä vaan olla pelkästään viihteen väline. Olen eri mieltä. AMV:t ovat aina olleet minulle väline käsitellä tunteita ja tämä ei poikkea siitä yhtään. Vähän niin kuin jollekin maalaaminen ja kirjoittaminen. Samaistun Vashiin - päähenkilöömme - todella monella tasolla. Hän ei horju pasifismistaan ja Vash löytää ihmisiä ympärilleen, jotka näkevät hänet ystävänä eikä "humanoid typhoon"iina, joka aiheuttaa ongelmia. Koko tarina ja Vashin suhden veljeensä on vaan niin puhdasta manipulaatiota ja gaslightaamista, että tuli oikein kylmät väreet. Trigun on erittäin hyvin kirjoitettu ja ei ole epäilystäkään että manga on tästä kaikkein paras versio. Hahmoista tulee todella moniulotteisia tarinan edetessä. Menkää lukemaan/katsomaan se, en voi muuta kuin suositella. Liittykää tähän fandom kuplaan. Ja nyt kun tällä ollaan, toivottavasti tykkäsitte videosta. Tarinan pitäisi aueta aikalailla itsestään.
