Let's discover the Ural region of Russia with me! This time we will drive to Taganay national park in the Southern Urlas to go hiking in the Ural mountains. Taganay is located in Chelyabinsk region where we will go from the city Yekaterinbusrg in Sverdlovsk region. 📌http://elinabakunova.com/russianclub - Russian Speaking Club where you can practice the Russian language. Join us from any level ;) 🔸Who am I? My name is Elina, friends call me Eli. I am from Russia, and on my channel I share the Russian culture and discover other countries and cultures when studying or working abroad. 🔸What can you find on my channel? Here you will find 👉🏻explanation of the Russian culture and facts about Russia that you can't google 👉🏻foreigners' and expats' stories about life in Russia 👉🏻opportunities for education for international students and learning the Russian language 👉🏻travel vlogs from astounding ang huge country Russia THE LEGEND OF TAGANAI. Taganai in Bashkir language means “moon’s tripod”. Tripod for the moon, there is a legend why it’s named so. The legend says that many centuries ago these places were inhabited solely by giants. The head giant was incredibly rich, had many treasures and precious stones. He didn’t allow anyone to touch them. He had three sons and one day these sons decided to steal the gems, put them in a sack and ran away. Their bag had holes in it and all the jewels spilled all over the mountains. That is why the Urals are so rich with gems. The giant looked for his sons, but he couldn’t find them. He sat on the ground and cried for a long time. The moon saw him crying and decided to comfort him, came down and sat on the giant’s shoulder. But then the moon saw that the giant became a stone from his grief and his tears became mountain rivers. That is why this mountain is called lunar pedestal. When the giant’s sons noticed that they lost all the gems they came back home to apologize to their dad, but when they saw him they were so terrified that they became stones as well. And now there are three mountain peaks in Taganai which are called three brothers. 📍 More videos: /watch/kBNK0HXfUOkfK - Mount Elbrus Russia | Full experience of Summit Climb /watch/Y2mhDP9uVp2uh - Russian culture | Habits you should adopt in Russia /watch/4oFi2HKHlKVHi - Why Russia is shrinking? | Population decline problem ___ 📸 https://www.instagram.com/elibakunova/ - on my Instagram I share more content about programs abroad, traveling and my daily life

    @markpatterson5250منذ 3 سنوات Growing up in Seattle, I often wondered what was on the other side of the "pond" (Siberia). Many years later, working on an American merchant id="hidden2" class="buttons"> ship, we had a medical emergency with one of our crew on the way from Yokohamma to Tacoma. We got permission to sail into Petropavlask, so I would finally get to see it. We sailed into the harbor and it had been foggy, so we could not even see our own bow! We got the sailor off the ship there by helicopter and sailed home. Moral of this story?.I've been there, but I haven't seen it!!.lol ....وسعت 93

    @klausburger1958منذ 3 سنوات dear Eli,
    i am from Germany, i lived more than 30 years in Baden-Baden and since about 5 years i try to get permission to live in the Ural. I spent id="hidden3" class="buttons"> 3 winters in a very little village, Lyubimovo, Ochansk rayon, Permskij Kray in an old wooden house. toilet outside, water from a little creek 300 meters away.
    Here i have all the things which i will not find in Germany: freedom, social behaving, friendly helpful people.
    very often i think, the people here is so friendly because they have so little money. i prefer this and i am more than happy here
    you make beautiful films and i thank you for your teaching the world about the beauty of Russia

    As for your final reflexion, sometimes living id="hidden16" class="buttons"> in a country rich in natural ressources can be a curse. It brings easy life, corruption, concentration of industry in one sector. If a country lacks such ressources, it forces it to be creative out of necessity (ex: Japan, Singapore). I live in Canada and we have both situations. Greetings and keep on showing the world your beautiful work.

    @cyrusparvin6819منذ 3 سنوات Responding to your final reflection. Russia is doing fine.
    Some years back I visited a cousin in Boston and we drove around Massachusetts. There id="hidden21" class="buttons"> were run down towns there too. Industry moves on and leaves workers behind, or businesses simply fail from time to time.
    In the winter of 2005-2006, I went to Dubai and saw them building their fancy towers, I also saw their labourers living and sleeping the construction sites. The wealth there is build on conditions that were near to slavery. You also have more freedom in Russia.
    Even here in the UK, it's not all glitz and glamour. There are some parts of London and other cities that are run down. The countryside is the most beautiful.
    I haven't been to Singapore so cannot comment on it from experience but the entire country is a city, so everyone has access to the services, and the cost of laying down roads and other infrastructure from east to west would be lower. But they do not have the Urals, or Caucasus, the Baltic coast, or the long Pacific shores that you do. Finally imagine if all Russians lived in Moscow to save on infrastructure costs and have fancy buildings. Would that be better? I'm not sure.

    @andrewduignan4065منذ 3 سنوات Wow! Russian countryside looks amazing in summer! I would love to visit again (I was in St Petersburg in 1997). In Ireland we typically go on holidays id="hidden25" class="buttons"> to Spain, Portugal or France - somewhere with warmer weather than Ireland! It is harder to imagine visiting Russia due to the distance and the bureaucracy to get visas. This year, we also spent holidays at home as foreign travel was made difficult for us.

Obviously Moscow and St Petersburg are very nice but there are many other cities also as you said some small villages around the country that are very nice with different atmosphere. Russia is so much more advanced in many areas than many other countries. İt takes time to undo the destruction brought on by Gorbachev and Yeltsin and Western bankers/Neocons. Putin is doing a great job and made Russia great again . İ am sure you will see a lot more prosperity soon. The world is changing Eli, actually it did change. İ am totally confident in Russia's future. Enjoy your vlogs very much. Your narration and editing is also really good so it is fun to watch too. Spasiba. ....وسعت 5

Also you asked whether we are satisfied in our countries id="hidden59" class="buttons"> (and to which countries we go on holiday), with the government of our country. I am from the Netherlands, i do believe that every country has its flaws, like we normally don't think/dream very big (or maybe on an individualistic level) and decisionmaking is slow. But we have a wealthy country. Also we go (in the Netherlands) to countries such as: France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Spain etc.! Also we go to very far away foreign countries!) see ya! ....وسعت

    @ambfoodmachineryمنذ 3 سنوات I live in northen Italy. In August 1978 I and my wife travelled by car to USSR , first through Yugoslavia and Hungary, then Ukraine, Russia, Bielorussia, id="hidden60" class="buttons"> Poland, Checoslovskia, Austria. We visited Lvov, Rovno, Orel, Moscow, Novgorod, Saint Petersburg (Leningrad), back to Moscow, Smolensk, Minsk, Brest, Warsaw, Krakow, Vienna. A very exiting and interesting trip of almost 10.000 km. It seems to me that, at least in the big cities, Russia has changed quiet a lot. For the better, I would say. I'm now studying Russian and I would like to travel again in Russia (when possible) to see the changes with my own eyes.
    Travelling in Italy is very different. You switch from mountain landscapes to lakes, countryside, rice fields, industrial areas, hills, medieval towns and renaissance cities, seashore etc . In a space of 250 km. Anyway, each country has its own peculiarity. I wish all the best to Russia and its people. Ciao

    @jasonhawn1908منذ 3 سنوات Great video. Sometimes just let the scenery speak for itself, other times share some knowledge about Россия, also share your thoughts.. ✌ you made me think of the jfk quote " Ask not what your country can do for you - ask what you can do for your country." ✌ ....وسعت 2
