@srnomrio2 years ago Just got back from Ocho Rios! Stayed at Carib Ocho Rios. I say to HECK with the high priced resorts. Right on the Jamaican coast and had my beach to snorkel. Had a cove to hang out at right down from the living quarter. Had super markets, flea markets, restaurants, and a bit of night life we explored as well. People were very gracious, yet a bit pushy to buy things at times. If you want adrenaline do the Blue Hole. It is $40 USD so if you think you are not going to jump then don't do it. It is a waterfall jump. Runaway Bay beach was a popular tourist area as well but beaches are empty at the moment waiting for hangover of pandemic to pass. This was my first true experience in the Caribbean sea and country and was very happy. Have to try NEW things next time and maybe stay a few days more. Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat (too many bones though) were fantastic. The festivals they put on the side, dumplings, rice and beans. Bought our own groceries and ate a small lunch when the day was done. Not a great selection of beer though. Red Stripe is like Miller Lite. I stuck to Heineken and Corona. ... 2
