3 Things nursing students fear in nursing school: Nursing school can be an overwhelming experience for nursing students. There are many things that can cause nursing students to feel anxiety or fear. Many people talk about how hard nursing school can be. When I was in nursing school orientation, the speaker told us that up to 50% of the students won't make it to graduation. The good news, however, is that there are ample resources that can help you succeed. 2. You'll look dumb. Nursing students will have to attend clinicals, perform skills, and more. It's easy to feel fearful that you'll mess up or look stupid. I had a similar experience during one of my clinical checkoffs. I couldn't hear my lab partner's blood pressure. However, you'll learn things over time. No one is born knowing these things. 3. You'll forget everything you learned in nursing school by the time you take NCLEX. There's no doubt that you'll learn a lot of information in nursing school. However, the good news is that nursing school itself will help you to prepare for NCLEX.
